The "2018 International Conference on Global Energy Interconnection" held by the Global Energy Interconnection Development and Cooperation Organization (GEIDCO) was held on March 28th-29th at China World Hotel Beijing, in which the group company Board Chairperson Xue Changqiu and Technical Center Director Kong Xiangchong participated.

The conference theme is "Global Energy Interconnection-Campaign of Acting on Chinese Proposals to Go Global". The conference has a plenary meeting and forums focusing on policy coordination, technical development and project construction related to global energy interconnection. It has then released the frontier technical results of the related industry in the world sphere.

Liu Zhenya, President of the conference, Kou Wei, General Manager of State Grid Corporation, Cao Zhi'an, General Manager of Southern Power Grid, Wang Lin, General Manager of the Three Gorges Group, and other leaders attended the conference and made important speeches. In addition, about 700 guests from relevant government departments, international organizations, universities and research institutions, energy and power enterprises, equipment manufacturers, and financial institutions also attended the meeting.
